Upcoming:
With the support of the Baylor University Institute for Oral History, I conducted an oral history project called “Making Dark Skin Visible,” which documents the history of ethnic skin and skin of color dermatology through interviews with 21 dermatologists and/or their collaborators and family. Check back or email to find out when these interviews will be made available and for news on exhibitions.
Podcasts:
As part of the Medicine, Race, Democracy Lab’s Speaker Series, I hosted and produced podcasts with Dr. Alka Menon and Dr. Matthew Wolf-Meyer on their respective sociological work on aesthetic surgery & transnationality and anthropological work on excremental politics & race. Transcripts provided!
I produced for an amazing medical humanities podcast called Meta-Stasis. Season 2 out now! I lead production on E202: The Wart and had a wonderful conversation with STS scholar and anthropologist, Beth Semel on E203: The Noise.
Digital Exhibits:
I also did a digital exhibit for the Meta-Stasis project that critically engages with current problems in dermatology. Visit undertones.
The Ethnography Studio:
I have also served as a co-coordinator of the Ethnography Studio at Rice University. See a recent collaborative video we did for the Ethos Lab here:
